Outlander is a 2008 American science fiction film directed by Howard McCain and starring James Caviezel. The film revolves around a spaceship crashing in Viking-age Norway. According to the makers of the film, Outlander is based loosely on Beowulf.
Some interesting trivia about the film. For the film, a replica Viking village and Viking ship, modeled after the Osebergship scouted at the VikingShipMuseum in Oslo was built. The ship was later burned for a scene – the remains are still on display in the community of Lark Harbor Newfoundland. The village took three months to build and included longhouses and a hall.

A large part of the crew took a tour of the real Air Force One before filming to be able to reflect the actual scene. President BillClinton saw the film twice while in office and gave it good reviews. He noted, however, that the escape pod and the rear parachute ramp, were not part of the actual Air Force One. Wolfgang Petersen said that although the although real plane did not have those features at the time of the filming, it would — according to him — probably be added by future governments.
At the 2009 U.S. Presidential Inauguration, the U.S. AirForceBand played part of the score for exiting U.S. President GeorgeW. Bush. All music composed by Jerry Goldsmith.

The Everly Brothers Reunion Prom Concert was very special because it marked the reunion of the Brothers after they had split and gone solo from 1973 to 1983. They continued together until Phil´s death in 2014.
The Everly Brothers were American country-influenced rockandroll singers, known for steel-string guitar playing and close harmony singing. The duo, consisting of “Don” and “Phil” Everly were elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 and the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001.
The music of the Everly Brothers is acknowledged to have influenced many successful musicians, including the Beatles, who once referred to themselves as “the English Everly Brothers.” KeithRichards called Don Everly “one of the finest rhythm players.” Singer-songwriter Paul Simon stated: “Phil and Don were the most beautiful sounding duo I ever heard. Both voices pristine and soulful. The Everlys were there at the crossroads of country and R&B. They witnessed and were part of the birth of rock and roll.”
The Everly Brothers had 35 Billboard Top-100 singles, 26 in the top 40. They hold the record for the most Top-100 singles by any duo.
