So much to do before Christmas and so little time left.  Take a load off, cuddle up with your significant other or a warm and cozy blanket and have a very musical holiday!  This year, we´re making music the reigning theme of the Holidays.  After all, what would Christmas be without “Silent Night” or “Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer” or more to the point, “All I Want for Christmas” and even “Jingle Bell Rock”.

Great shows – Bublé, Country Music even Celtic Women Christmas and YouTube mixes with original videos of the most popular Christmas songs.  Bring a fireplace into your home: with logs crackling or if you´d like some company, with a cat and dog and carols included.  How about a Scrooge  – but the musical kind –  and loads of cartoons and sing-alongs?

And last, but certainly not least, an incredible collection of karaoke popular Christmas songs (not carols) that are really easy to sing along with family and friends.

White Christmas is not just a song, it´s also the classic Christmas movie.  Released in 1954, it is based on the original classic – Holiday Inn.  Both starred Bing Crosby who was just as great in both films. This is a clip with the entire cast including Danny Kaye and Rosemay Clooney from the finale of the movie.

Scrooge the Musical  – 1 hr.54min.

Scrooge is a 1970 film adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. It was based on the 1992 stage musical  “Scrooge: The Musical” with book, music and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse. He was nominated for an Academy Award for the song score he wrote for the film. A must see!

Years ago, it was Andy Williams and Bing Crosby´s Christmas Specials. Nowadays this great Canadian singer has rightfully stepped into their shoes to bring us (as Brenda Lee would say in Rockin´Around the Christmas Tree) a “new old-fashioned” style of Christmas show.

Celtic Woman Christmas Show – 1 hr.37min.

Christmas and Celtic sound seem to go together. Peaceful, tranquil, almost ethereal.  Celtic Woman´s Show is lovely in every way.  If you like Enya´s music, you will definitely be delighted by this very special Christmas Show.

CMA  Country Christmas Show  – 1 hr. 27 min.

All your country stars with that special country sound.  Also check out Steven Tyler around 55 min. with a rock version of Run Run Rudolph. Worth watching even if you´re not a country music buff.

The Marinsky Theater Nutcracker Ballet  – 3 hrs.28min.

You definitely cannot celebrate Christmas without watching The Nutcracker, one of the best loved traditions of Christmas, worldwide.  But for those of us who don´t live near a city that performs it, there is nothing better in the world than watching the best Nutcracker performance by the Marinsky Theater Ballet on YouTube in HD.

Another great MIX from YouTube – over 30 Classic Christmas songs with corresponding original videos of your favorite stars.  Classics like Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole and the younger artists like Mariah Carrey and Wham.

Karafun has an extraordinary channel on YouTube that makes Karaoke easier than you´ve ever tried.  This is a Mix of Classic and Modern Christmas Songs.  The secret is you can hear someone singing the song very faintly in the background – just enough to make you sound like a pro, but not enough for your audience to notice. Try it out! It´s great for family get-togethers, especially during the holidays.

Okay, so you´re almost done with the decorations, baking, wrapping and all you want to do is take a break and not do a single thing.  This is where the fireplace videos come to the rescue.  Fireplaces are the heart of a home, a place to contemplate, relax and replenish your batteries to keep going until the last gift is given and the last cookie is eaten.  If you don´t have a real one, or are just too tired to make a fire, this is just right for you.

A simple and mesmerizing fireplace with nothing to distract – not even music – only the sounds of the fire crackling the burning logs.  The video is 8 hours long so you can select it and it will bring a sense of tranquility and warmth to the darkest room and will accompany you the whole day.  Only one problem, I wonder how Santa is going to get down this chimney!
