Grupo Gourmets was born in 1976 when the first edition of Gourmets Club, the first magazine in Spain dedicated to gastronomy, enology and traveling, was published, setting its foundation as an editorial group.

In 1983, the Grupo created another publication dedicated exclusively to wines, the Gourmets Wine Guide, the best in Spain. As a veteran among specialized publications in the viticultural sector, it offers the possibility of incursions into the fascinating world of wine, wineries, specialised retail stores, wine áreas, etcetra. Issue # 39 features the characteristics and prices of 4,187 wines tasted blind, 2,790 with comments and ratings, and 1,196 wine estates.

In 1986, the Grupo created the Gourmets Wine Club, and years later the Cupboard, an exclusive club with more than 6,100 members who receive all the information related to wine selected and gastronomic products month after month.

Another of the grand milestones in the history of Grupo Gourmets was the first Hall of Gourmets in 1987, the most important European trade fair devoted to high-end products, an essential meeting for professionals in the sector attended by 73 exhibitors and 8.000 visitors.
