Spain has just held the biggest and much-awaited special draw of the National Lottery, the “El Gordo de Navidad” (the Fat One of Christmas). Celebrated every 22nd of December, and with prizes amounting to a total of €2,590,000,000 as of this year, El Gordo is considered the world’s biggest lottery draw. First prize goes to Lucky Number 88008 which instantly got christened “El Perezoso” (The Lazy One)  by local folk because it does nothing but repeat itself. Typical Spanish humor! Prize payout: €4,000,000 (or €400,000 for each decimo). Second prize shells out €1,250,000. Third prize: €500,000. And so forth and so on.

But if you didn’t get to win the jackpot, don’t despair yet. On this draw of The Lazy Fat One, 15,000 other prizes worth €2,500,000,000 rained on Spain — on the plains, in the mountains, inland, the coasts.

Want to find out if you’ve been lucky and got drenched and not know it? Or have just a share of a stray raindrop? Enter the number of your El Gordo ticket and the amount you spent in RTVE’s Comprobador Loteria Navidad 2023.

You have until the 22nd of March 2024 to collect your prize.
