The G20 is an intergovernmental forum comprising 19 industrialized and developing countries and the European Union. It works to address major issues related to the global economy, such as international financial stability, climate change mitigation, and sustainable development. Spain enjoys a peculiar position within the Group. It is not a member of G20 but has participated in its seven extraordinary summits and in several ordinary meetings. It is considered a permanent guest member, the only outreach participant to have made policy commitments comparable to those of G20 members proper. But forests fill a basic need for human life: O2. We breathe because of the oxygen produced by trees and plant life and especially the rainforests of the world. Bolsonaro may just have to deal with the world on the issue of the wildfires in the Amazon.
