OVIEDO IS PROCLAIMED SPAIN’S GASTRONOMIC CAPITAL FOR 2024 »
Oviedo, the lovely capital of the Principality of Asturias, is and always has been a gourmet’s paradise and now it has been justifiably recognized as the Spanish Gastronomical Capital. It was singled out to represent the excellent Asturian gastronomy its most famous dish being the fabada. Sharing the limelight is the cider which pairs well with the famous Asturian sausages and almost any other dishes of the Asturian cuisine. Eighty per cent of all cider in Spain are rpoduced in Asturias.. That said, there is still much to talk about Oviedo in particular and Asturias in general be said about Oviedo, not least of which are their historic monuments and the inviting greenery to frame them.

There’s very little people around the world don’t know about “touristic” Spain. And so I’m amazed that many visitors are still amazed that one could have quality vacation in Spain cheaply. Especially when we’re talking about eats!
