The EU, the U.S. and other countries are banning TikTok from devices they have supplied their staffers. The reason: cybersecurity. TikTok user data are believed to be shared with Beijing. TikTok employees are cited as saying that "everything is seen in China."

On 11 February of this year, Google has announced that it is making Malaga the headquarters of its Cybersecurity Center of Excellence. With a global scope, this will convert the southern Spanish city into one of the most important cybersecurity hubs in Europe. Quite a welcome shot in the arm for a country whose self-confidence is badly shaken by the collapse of its powerful Tourism industry as a result of the pandemic.
