Despite the devastating effects of the pandemic in Spain and throughout the world, Madrid’s Teatro Real has been struggling to maintain its calendar of events. Its next endeavor are the 15 performances of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's “Don Giovanni”, between December 18 and January 10. The original libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte is based on Tirso de Molina’s classic 1616 play "El burladero de Sevilla" about the legendary Don Juan. "Don Giovanni" is one of the greatest works of the extraordinary Austrian composer.
