US President Joe Biden gave a marathon press conference on January 19th, 2022 for the first time in 10 months to mark his first year in office.
He acknowledged setbacks in his agenda, blaming the Republicans for obstructing his policies.
He addressed inflation and the supply chain backlog and said the economy is strong in spite of these.
“It has been a year of challenges”, he said, adding that there is a lot of frustration and tiredness in the country because of the virus Covid-19. He recommended a booster shot for everyone who has received the first two vaccinations, and universal vaccinations for the rest of the populace.
The President answered questions from the press for over an hour and then said he would see them next time.
