Kamianets-Podilskyi Fortress
A fairy tale city, that’s Kamianets-Podilskyi whose 11th-century castle, built on a massive rock surrounded by the 40-meter deep Smotrych River Canyon, is one of the most beautiful in Ukraine. Its charming Old Town is replete with old bastions, fortresses, and old gates. It isn’t just the magical scenery, though. Medieval-style restaurants will take you back in time.
This idyllic “island city” in western Ukraine will make you believe, if only for a moment, that brutal war is a thing of the past.
