Madrid is vying for the honor and privilege of becoming Europe’s New Capital of Excellence in Tourism at the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) held in Cannes 6 – 9 December. Madrid’s proposition is audacious. Let’s see what happens.
If you think you’ve got luxury travel industry to your name, Cannes is where you’d want to be seen. And Madrid was there.
The Cannes festival of exclusive events is, as its own website proclaims, a “highly curated meetings between the [European] region’s most exclusive and sought after travel designers and the world’s finest hospitality brands.”
ILTM further states that it is “a global collection of invitation-only events that brings together leading international buyers to meet and discover the most luxurious travel experiences. Each event introduces an unrivaled selection of luxury travel brands to ILTM’s extensive network of hand-picked luxury travel advisors, through bespoke appointment programmes and networking sessions.”
The fair at Cannes is ILTM’s global flagship. However, there are other three ILTM core local events — ILTM Arabia, ILTM Latin America and ILTM North America — in addition to ILTM Africa and Asia Pacific.
Cannes: 6 – 9 December 2021
Africa: 11 – 13 April 2022
Arabia: 9 – 10 May 2022
Latin America: 03 – 06 May 2022
Asia Pacific: 20 – 23 June 2022
North America: 19 – 22 September 2022
