More than 76% of wine in Spain is drunk at home. What’s more, according to the Observatorio Español del Mercado del Vino (Observatory of the Wine Market in Spain), the money spent by Spanish families between January and March 2018 increased by 2.7%. More than 18 million Spaniards drink an average of between 5 and 6 glasses weekly. The favorite is red wine, on the whole. However, women as well as young adults prefer white. Put another way, each person in Spain drank an average of 2.7 liters of wine in 2017.
Only 23.7% of the wine is consumed in the HORECA (hotel, restaurant, café) sector.
In view of this, and the fact that we’re now in the Jolly Holiday Season (Black Friday kicked it off, didn’t it?), you might want to attend the wine-at-home demonstration:
