Rose, Queen of Flowers: different colors for different meanings
by GUIDEPOST
Once before, our Mary Canovas in her “Entertaining” column gave us the different meanings of the roses’ different colors as a guideline “when giving or receiving this magnificent flower.”
Great idea for the coming Valentine’s Day. Or for any occasion for that matter. When said with roses the message will never fail to turn any occasion into something really special!
Red roses: love and passion
White roses: purity, innocence, unconditional love
Rose roses: friendship, gentleness, softness, thankfulness
Yellow roses: joy and friendship
Orange roses: enthusiasm and fascination
Green roses: calm
Blue roses: mystery
