IFEMA is the Trade Fair Institution of Madrid Capital. Its thirty-year experience of staging trade fairs has made it the most quintessential of its kind in Spain and one of the leaders in Europe. Its activities focus on the presenting of commercial events representative of a wide variety of industries and the managing of its space and infrastructure for every type of activity, from trade fairs organised by third parties to conventions, congresses and any type of meeting or business or diplomatic event. Its principal objectives are to generate affluence and development for the Madrid Region and showcase the image of Madrid within and beyond its borders.
What is Fruit Attraction?
Fruit Attraction is held every October and has become the indispensable sales component for the demand cycle for fresh products and has been delivering a major platform and meeting point for fruit and vegetable operators, growers and agriculturists.
More than 90% of the exhibitors and 95% of the visitors are annual repeats.
Besides the irreplaceable attributes of face-to-face communications, Fruit Attraction has launched new functionalities that reinforce each other´s contact management.
Product groups that I have encountered include fresh vegetables, nontoxic fertilisers, nontoxic insecticides, fruit growers, beverages, cocktail art, ecological farming, environmental challenges, delivery ethics, spices, seeds versus seedless, crop care, enological topics and wines, healthy fruit and vegetables, amongst other related products.
One of the main objectives of this Trade Fair was to offer a platform for international expansion and promotion with the collaborations of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, all providing significant investments in the Fruit Attraction International Trade Fair.
The guste programme included retail purchasing managers, journalists, importers, exporters, wholesalers and retailers, all bringing a special dynamism to Fruit Attraction 2022.
Fruit Attraction 2022 breaks records & enshrines Madrid as the World Fruit & Vegetable Capital
The trade fair, organised by Ifema Madrid and Fepex, consolidated its global leadership by surpassing the figures seen in 2019, and until now, it has been the most successful edition in its history, with 1.800 companies from 55 countries participating, more than 58.000 m2 of produce on offer and an expected 90.000 professionals from 130 countries. The 14th edition of Fruit Attraction has taken place from October 4th – the 6th October, occupying 8 pavillions at the fairgrounds. The guest región was Andalusia.
The highly positive figures demonstrated the sector´s growing interest in participating in the promotion of key businesses in international markets, precisely in terms of its impact on international participation.
