The Italian Embassy in Madrid is announcing two kinds of scholarships for the academic year 2019 – 2020 as per the agreement between the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Academia d’Arte e Mastieri dello Spettacolo ‘Teatro alla Scala’ de Milan.
The scholarships are:
(1) Eleven 9-month courses for young foreign opera singers (lyrical singers) who pass the test for said course.
The course is designed to perfect the techniques of lyrical singing.
Course begins on 1 January 2020.
Application: 4 September — 11 October 2019.
Monthly stipend: €900.
(2) Five scholarships for Master’s in Performing Arts Management.
Application for the course is open till 4 September 2019 for aspirants from outside the European Union. For EU applicants, 1 October.
Duration of the Master’s: 6 months, starting 1 January 2020.
Monthly stipend: €900.

Applicants can apply on this same website.
If accepted, scholars for the lyrical singing and the Master’s should take out an insurance policy that covers accident and illness out of their own pockets.
