Saudi Arabia's foreign minister called the killing of the journalist--who had been critical of the current Saudi regime--a "rogue operation" and an "aberation". President Trump has been reluctant to call for the condemnation of the Saudi royal regime, although some Senators are clamoring for high-level investigations of the incident. Trump has stated that there are many ways the U.S. can respond to the journalist's killing that will not jeopardize relations between the two allies.
Reputation is critical to enhancing buisness and is therefore a crucial asset for a country. In 2018 Sweden is the Most Reputable Country among the 55 polled. Seven of the Top Ten are European countries. Outside of the Top Ten Spain ranks 14th, the UK 16th, France 18th and Germany 19th. The USA, once the leader of the free world, is not seen as a responsible participant in the global community. It is ranked 34th. Iraq is the least reputable, ranking 55th.
Walking through the chilling maze of photos and artifacts and hearing the stories at the Exhibition takes a lot out of a person, as we are forced to comprehend the atrocities that our fellow humans are capable of committing. However, at the end of the exhibit there is also hope: videos play of survivors describing the importance of love and acceptance and warning visitors of what is at stake if we dare to forget the past. For Spain, a country that is still working on coming to terms with its own past, this warning seems especially relevant
