Everything you should know about the EU Digital COVID Certificate, sometimes known as the Green Passport! Get it straight now, for your own safety it's going to be in use across the European Union and a few non-EU countries starting 1 July 2021 and until the pandemic is finally trashed. Spain is one of the countries ahead of this plan.

Spain was the springboard for World Book Day, at the initiative of Vicente Clavel Andrés who proposed designating a Spanish Book Day to honor Miguel de Cervantes, author of the world’s first modern novel, Don Quixote de La Mancha. It took decades but in the end UNESCO took up the gauntlet.

The Spanish Government is feeling particularly satisfied these days. There are now more Covid-immunized Spaniards than the reported cases of coronavirus-infection since the pandemic broke out. NB: It typically takes two weeks after full vaccination for the body to build protection (immunity) against the coronavirus. Even then, you should keep taking precautions in public places or when you are with unvaccinated people from more than one household.

The European Commission: "Most of the participants in the studies [conducted by AstraZeneca] were between 18 and 55 years old. There are not yet enough results in older participants (over 55 years old) to provide a figure for how well the vaccine will work in this group."

Politicians are wont to resort to confinement to fight COVID-19. But how about the vaccines whose supply is stalled. Due to suspicious reasons? People can’t take more confinement. The French come to Madrid, which has become an “oasis” of “permissiveness”, for a weekend relief. It's no way to beat the pandemic.
