A GUIDEPOST Report

It’s been three years since the last Medieval Fair of El Alamo was held in this town of the Comunidad Autonoma de Madrid that borders the Province of Toledo. That was quite a fair then, with 100,000 spectators from all over the Madrid region coming to join the fun.

Now on its 25th edition, this feria medieval that had had to give way to the pandemic will regale the visitor with some 100 medieval-themed daily shows presented by local and foreign theatrical, circus and music companies:  Human No Limit, Cirko Psikario, Konfusion, Teatrakalacalle, Malatich, A Todo Trapo, Tartaruga. . .

Buffoons, hunchbacks, rogues, squires in their fineries, alchemists with their magic formulas, quack doctors, ogres, blacksmiths, innkeepers who once peopled medieval towns will come back to El Alamo to haunt the visitors. It’s the witching game, folks!

Concerts will be provided by The Celtival Music. Three-hundred culinary, arts and crafts stands, and general fun and games in the Middle Ages will be all over town.

El Alamo’s is the only feria medieval in the Madrid region that has been awarded the distinction of “Interes Turístico”.
