The American Club of Madrid, together with the Cultural and Creative Industries Club at Esade Business School, presents the Presidents series, in this occasion honored with President of Disney Iberia, Mr. Simon Ambselen, who will talk about his vision related to new consumers and the importance of new technologies.

There is a transformation in many industries, Disney business faces new challenges in response to changing consumer preferences in a marketplace increasingly influenced by technology. Accordingly, the Walt Disney Company announced recently a realignment of two of its divisions, Disney Consumer Products and Disney Interactive. The new combined segment: Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media (DCPI).

Both Disney Interactive and Disney Consumer Products have a strong track record of connecting people to their favorite stories and characters. As technology and digital entertainment continue to evolve, a shared innovation strategy will enable this new segment to create unique and engaging products and experiences that exceed consumers’ expectations. Disney is looking forward to leveraging Disney Interactive’s digital, technological and mobile expertise to explore the unlimited possibilities.

Fernando Carro is president of Bertelsmann Spain, CEO of arvato and member of the Executive Committee of Bertelsmann. He has worked in various management positions at Bertelsmann since 1993 and has been a member of the Group Management Committee since 2012. Most recently, he served as President Latin America and Spain, in charge of Bertelsmann businesses on the Iberian Peninsula and the company’s expansion in the South American growth markets. His presentation will be in Spanish.

After a rough start regarding the address in October, we assure you our November meeting will be held at Cafe Madrid, Calle Belen 7!

We plan to meet the fourth Tuesday of each month to discuss the book as well as share best practices, challenges and opportunities we all know and love about the world of entrepreneurs.  Our discussions will be facilitate by the very able Montse Ventosa Garcia-Morato, managing partner of the firm Grooooow.
