Social Security and Medicare are on their last legs. Inflation is still rampant. Four Americans were
kidnapped
by drug cartels with two of them left dead. But all this seems far away as the days
lengthen
and hope springs eternal. We’ll soon be complaining about the heat of summer!

I have already bought the packets of seeds to plant in the garden this Spring: eggplants and sunflowers. But there are still frosty mornings and scattered snow showers so according to the instructions I have to wait until May.

The tulips are coming up and the daffodils  too. It’s an exciting time in the garden.

Biden proposed a super-spending budget of 6.8 Trillion dollars that the Republicans in the House hate, although they have yet to come up with their own proposal.

Social Security and Medicare are on their last legs although both parties claim that they will somehow make them last.

Inflation is still rampant and Biden plans to eliminate tax credits on the gas industry which will inevitably raise the price of gasoline.

Groceries are at an all-time high and hunger in America is now commonplace.

The homeless crisis just seems to get worse, as does the increase in crime.

Four Americans were kidnapped by drug cartels on the Southern border, with two of them left dead. Drug trafficking is at a peak.

But all this seems far away as the days lengthen and hope springs eternal.

We’ll soon be complaining about the heat of summer!
