Madrid Horse Week will turn the capital into an exciting equestrian city with a sports program that will delight even the horse-circuit habitue who’s seen it all. For the first time Horse Week will feature the Maestros de la Vaquera Cup in which 10 teams who have classified in 8 previous scoring tests will go for the trophy in Madrid. The scoring events, between May and October, were held in Jerez, Copa del Rey de Portaje, Arroyo la Luz, Mairena del Aljarafe, Andévalo, Miraflores de la Sierra, Cordoba Vaqueros School and the Spanish Championship in Carmona.

Also for the first time, MHW will hold a Cowboy Dressage competition, thereby enriching its  multidisciplinary scope even further.

For the second time, it will host the World Cup Jumping and the World Cup Vaulting, such as a CSI2 and CDI5, increasing the difficulty of the test with respect to previous years, with an eye to hosting the World Cup Dressage in the next edition.

At the Salón del Caballo, the continuous program of shows and exhibitions is loaded with a variety of plays and didactic activities, including dressage, demonstrations of vaulting, and sessions on health and care of the horse. For the kids there’s the Pony Park to get initiated into the world of horses, join various children’s activities, and generally have the time of their lives.
